mobile_visibility=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;318510&#8243;]Within the <strong>monumental complex of Santa Maria della Piet\u00e0 in Rome<\/strong>, formerly a healthcare facility now undergoing restoration for community use, Green Ways\u00ae supplied both products and consulting services, during both the study and application phases, for the redevelopment of the internal routes, pedestrian and driveway surfaces.\u00a0The objective was to ensure stability, durability, and aesthetic consistency while fully respecting the historical and landscape context.<\/p>\n<p>The project was born from the need to make the internal pathways more functional and resistant, while preserving the visual and material identity of the site. The first phases of the intervention, launched in autumn 2024, involved Green Ways\u00ae technicians, the Project Management Office, and the contractor ITALIA OPERE from Palestrina in a series of site inspections, laboratory tests with different types of aggregates, and on-site trials extending until spring 2025.<\/p>\n<p>To maintain the site\u2019s natural hues and reduce environmental impact, local materials were selected, particularly tuff and pozzolana, typical elements of the Roman territory, which helped lower costs and reduce transport-related emissions.<\/p>\n<p>After a testing phase conducted in a laboratory accredited by the Ministry of Infrastructure, the optimal mixture was defined: tuff aggregates blended with the <strong>eco-friendly stabilizing binder Solid Pave\u00ae<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The components were mixed on site using a blender, and the treated material was laid with a paver to a thickness of 15 cm. The surface was then compacted with an 8-ton roller until the ideal density was reached. Finally, once the pavement had dried, the eco-friendly anti-dust and anti-erosion binder <strong>Soil Sement\u00ae E.F. was applied, improving cohesion, mechanical strength, and overall durability of the surface while maintaining permeability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The final result is a sustainable internal road network that combines advanced technologies with traditional materials, offering solid pathways harmonized with the historical and environmental setting of the Santa Maria della Piet\u00e0 complex..<\/p>\n<h2>Project operational phases<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Site inspections and field tests to assess the intervention areas.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of local aggregates and selection of tuff-based soil.<\/li>\n<li>Phase 1 \u2014 Mixing of the aggregate with water and Solid Pave\u00ae in the blender.<\/li>\n<li>Phase 2 \u2014 Laying of the treated aggregate with a paver.<\/li>\n<li>Phase 3 \u2014 Compaction of the soil treated using a roller.<\/li>\n<li>Phase 4 \u2014 Application over the surface binder Soil Sement\u00ae E.F.<\/li>\n<li>Completed Work \u2014 Uniform, cohesive pavement perfectly integrated into its context.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row unlock_row_content=&#8221;yes&#8221;
