The project
Mediterranean garden and nursery
In a context such as Sicily, designing walkways means dealing with local materials, drainage needs, and a landscape with a strong visual character. The demand was not only technical, but also aesthetic: to integrate functionality and beauty, without altering the identity of the place.
The paths were made with lava sand and draining lava aggregate, treated 12 cm thick with the environmentally friendly stabilizer GREEN STAB PAVE® and then on the surface with the dust-proof and anti-erosive binder SOIL SEMENT® EF.
The intervention ensured drainage, stability and a perfect continuity with the surrounding environment.
A balance between invisible technologies and local raw materials, designed to leave room for nature, without sacrificing durability.
