Strong solutions for complex territories

The project

Driveway for traffic over 40 tons

With clay soils that are plastic and highly sensitive to water, building durable roads is a complex challenge. In contexts like Africa, the frequent passage of heavy vehicles over 40 tons makes the subgrade unstable and prone to structural failure.

To ensure durability and strength, 30 cm of in-situ clay were stabilized using the eco-friendly stabilizer GREEN STAB® PAVE for the subgrade layer and SOLID PAVE® for the base, with a surface finish achieved by applying the dust- and erosion-control binder SOIL SEMENT®.
This intervention made the surface capable of supporting loads exceeding 40 tons, delivering excellent performance even under extreme climatic and geotechnical conditions.

Field tests recorded a CBR increase of 393% for wet conditions and 448% for dry conditions.

An international project that demonstrates how a lightweight technology can tackle heavy challenges, offering long-term efficiency and sustainability.
